Heather & Larry 5.31.08

It was a hot summer day, but the reception of Heather & Larry looked beautiful! The colors were brown and pale blue, and they used hydrangeas, white roses, and white orchids. The orchids were floated in the fountain, and lined with blue votive candles.

They also used orchids to decorate the niches in the brick wall.

This was a great idea - the florist covered the black poles around the center of the room with branches to add to the rustic style.

They did not need space for a dance floor, so to accommodate their 300+ guests, tables were placed all around the main room, as well as upstairs around the bar and in the overflow room.

The cakes by More Than Cakes were placed on separate tables in front of the 2 windows near the french doors.

The guests were all given little envelopes with butterflies from Vibrant Wings to release as Heather & Larry made their exit. They were very entertaining for the guests even after the bride & groom left!

Afton & Primus 5.17.08

What a beautiful wedding! We all had to hold our breath when the sprinkles started just before the ceremony was set to begin, but it stopped just as quickly as it came, and everything went off without a hitch! Here are a few photos...

They chose the mahogany chairs, and rented sashes to coordinate with the wedding colors of deep red, silver, and black. (The chair color choices we offer are white, black, natural wood, and mahogany.)

Luckily, it wasn't a very windy day, so the candles on the aisle markers stayed lit fairly well. For our upcoming brides, we suggest any outdoor candles have a vase at least 2-3 inches taller than the candle so there's more of a chance they will remain lit on a windy day.

Harpist Sara Shute provided the ceremony music.

They adorned the hurricane lamps provided by The Gallery with flowers and greenery in the wedding colors.

The cake was gorgeous, and the diamond border matched the bride's jewelry perfectly.

Congrats to the newlyweds, and many kudos to the bride's mom, Beverlyn, for the fabulous job she did with helping Afton plan!

P.S. Wedding season is now in full swing, so check back every Monday for pictures of the past weekend's events.
