Catherine & BJ 11.7.09

What a beautiful wedding! Catherine & BJ hosted 200 family and friends for their wedding reception last weekend, and I think it's safe to say everyone had a great time! (I think Catherine can attest to the fact that your wedding day really flies by, so enjoy every minute!)

The guest book table...

During the cocktail hour, the guests enjoyed passed appetizers and an open bar by Behind the Bash on the large patio area.

The entertainment was provided by The Works, a fabulous 10-piece band from Avalon Music.

Elegant Beginnings Linens and Wedding Flowers by Lisa decorated the tables in ivory, with touches of green, gold, and chocolate brown.

The always-wonderful Cakes by Gina made the gorgeous bride's cake and the impressive oil derrick groom's cake.

Congratulations to the bride & groom! It was such a pleasure working with you!

Tatyana & Jeff 10.4.09

It was a perfect fall-themed wedding, and the rain stopped just in time for the outdoor ceremony! White twinkle-lights were hung over the dance floor and draped behind the sweetheart table, giving the room a very cozy, romantic feeling.

Congratulations Tatyana & Jeff!

Kristin & Daniel 9.26.09

Kristin and Daniel hosted their reception at The Gallery in September, with a beautiful autumn theme. They dressed up the outdoor patios by bringing in potted plants and flowers.

Inside, the head table was the focal point, with the sweetheart table in the center and 2 tables of 6 for the bridesmaids and groomsmen. Goode Company BBQ provided the delicious appetizers and dinner.

Floral arrangements were done by Fresh Blooms of Houston.

And the cakes were by Cakes by Gina.

Best wishes Kristin & Daniel!

Open House 9/17 Photos

A mock ceremony with 100 mahogany chiavari chairs was set on the large patio facing the fountain, with Beige Moire chair sashes from Any Occasion Party Rental and flowers and lanterns by Dream Bouquet.

Under the breezeway were 3 tall cocktail tables with Beige Moire linens and Apple Taffeta sashes by Any Occasion Party Rental and crystal candle holders by Dream Bouquet.

The main reception room was arranged with a mix of lounge furniture from Prop Rock, 60" round tables decorated in different themes of green, black, silver, and white, and tall cocktail tables with Black Contour linens for a modern look.

The green up-lighting, pin-spot lighting on the centerpieces, and GOBO light for The Gallery were provided by Bright Star Productions.

Demeris Catering served from several hors d'oeuvres and entrée stations around the room.

Dream Bouquet's booth showed tons of beautiful photos and bouquets for brides to test drive.

Short cocktail tables were placed upstairs near the vendors' booths, with Platinum Satin linens and crystal candle holders.

Regina of Cherubs Chocolates shared samples of their delicious chocolate favors.

Kelly of Eventology Weddings wins for cutest display and for dressing to match her table! :)

This red cake by Cakes by Gina was definitely a show-stopper! In the background is Any Occasion Party Rental's display of even more unique and colorful linens.

Guests enjoyed the green-screen photo-op with Catch the Moment's fun alternative to a photo booth.

The Gallery welcomes a new assistant Event Manager!

We are excited to introduce a new member to our team, that will be working as the Event Manager for approximately half of the events here at The Gallery. She is currently training with Tara to learn the ropes of the venue, and she's excited to officially get started assisting at the events of our wonderful brides and clients! Here's a little more information about the newest face at The Gallery:

Kristina Simpkins-Kellogg is an innovative & experienced wedding consultant. She began doing weddings as a favor for close family friends in the Chicago area in 1999 and her career took off from there! Wedding consulting started off as a hobby, but quickly took on a life of its own as word of mouth networking began. She has done several weddings from Chicago, to Houston and has never come in with results less than extraordinary. She is excited about her job and loves the wedding industry. Kristina welcomes your questions and is available & waiting to make your dream day come true!

Kristina and Tara will be taking turns working each event, but Tara will remain the primary contact person prior to your event. Come by the Open House this Thursday for your first chance to meet Kristina!
